Pumped up egos gorge the air.
Plush red carpet, an orgy of lights,
The Oscars' are the night of nights!

Who will win the coverted gongs
Amidst the glitz and long silk sarongs?
Look at Russell, what is he wearing?
And what about Pammy, looks a little bit daring!

Paparazzi in a polaroid heaven,
Magazine headlines to make by eleven.
Editors demanding the most elusive of shots,
Julia Roberts with a face full of spots!?

Statuettes graciously given away,
Followed by a gratuitous vocal foreplay
" I'd like to thank all the' luvies' I know,
Inparticular those who've helped my bank balance grow!
