The Impossibility of Crossing White Space

Too much of black space isn't meant.
Dead galaxies abound
Through lack of care.
Poor choices can sever universes.
God knows I know this.
I think you do too now.
When you chose yourself
Over us,
You drove a great white space
Between us,
Which neither of us can navigate across now,
Not even in hyper-drive,
Or on auto-pilot.
You sealed us apart,
You in your world,
I in mine.
You shook my cosmos
To its smallest quark.
You broke a dying star-system.
My last sun
Imploded
And went out.
