Influence, Interference, Subsuming
Interesting how that when another that you know well
Enters certain conversations then your thunder can be stolen
And you hear all your lines spoken by another, leaving nothing.
When the coloured smoky glasses
Shifting planes to refract light of personality
Onto a blank face it's easy to say,
'That's you'
But sometimes intentions and motives, hidden
Under a veil of asking you to trust can turn
Into plastic, gag your throat:
You taste something a bit off, something bitter
Something your genetics have told generations
Of you before you not to eat.
When plots work behind curtains,
When protagonists block a little,
When suspicion needles instinct?
When you lose out.
When you are treated unfairly how do you know?
What can you do?
These filaments which join fragile lives (others are roped in)
These filaments - bitching undermines
but semantics?
One's bitching is another's gossip is another's talk is another's
normal.
