Kiss Kiss by Neil McCall
Passion-pink and carefree
their faces coalesce
dark-hued woollens obviate
their wintertime caress
curators affect nonchalance
they've seen it all before
Japanese girls giggle, click,
and tiptoe through the door.
The snoggers hardly notice as
we cautiously intrude
and marvel at the beauty
of the couple in the nude
money can't buy love, they say
well, take a look at this;
fifteen million dollars worth
of alabaster kiss.
Sealed in stony ecstacy
the lovers' inspiration
in art, conjoined forever,
but in life, brief imitation.
