Desensitise me from this world,
I’ve spoke too little,
I’ve seen too much,
These sicknesses of the mind I cannot bear,
I do not see the reason there.
Melancholia, depression of the mind,
Too weak to raise a smile,
But bold enough to die.
Schizophrenia; the multitude madness,
All alone and terrified they are,
Yet their minds have friends aplenty on call.
Bi-polar; the yo-yo effect,
Geniuses of the world,
Please just make up your mind.
I do not include myself in any of these,
Yet I wish to be desensitised like thee,
Floating though drugged up without a care,
We’ll let the proper neurotics dream to dare.
