My name is Michael aka Imperial Governer UdY for Folks Nation GD's.
I have been a GD(Gangster Disiple)for 3 yrs now and I am 17yrs old. I
was initiated into Rolling 60's crips when i was 13 yrs old then when i
turned 14 i became a soldier for Folks Nation. When I was 13 I had
nothing to look foward to; my mother was a heavy drug addict, my life
was a mess, and i needed a guide to back me up when i oppened my mouth
at the wrong time. My neighborhood was what u would call the ghetto.
Gangs, Drugs,Stick-ups,Fights where an everyday accurence so all us
youth needed a backbone. So i Joined The Crips. For years i though"wow
im cool i am a gang member and everyone fears me and my power" but as
the years progressed i realized that life was no longer a joke. My
bestfriend from when i was 5 became a rival gang member and i could no
longer hang out with him. Over time I found a new best friend aka my
ace kool(Diego). Me and Diego studied our gang literature together, did
the drive bys together,if i was there he was there. Years progressed we
became older and as we became older we where realizing how close death
really was. Well Diego realized alot sooner than i did. One night
Me,Diego, and a cuople other of our homeboyz where driving a noticed an
abandon lot with opposing gang graffiti all over it so Diego stood out
the car and through up our symbols and then as if in a frightening
movie a blurred object stepped out and shot my ace kool. Diego refused
to get in the car and wanted to "die like a soldier" but we tried to
rush him to the hospital but too much time and not enough hope, Diego
died of loss of blood. We never found out who the kid was but i will
always hold a grudge for him.
Parents let this story be a warning if your child is a participant in
gang activity talk with them and listen so you can help. Many places
hold youth nights rather than being on the streets and many places have
protection.
Remember im only 17 this is a youth speaking that has lived the
life.
Keep all in your prayer!!!
