The Lost Chocolate Drop
"Hey! Hey, excuse me, down here!!"
The lost chocolate drop.
Milky and brown and smooth.
"You've forgotten me!"
Oh dear, look at him now -
The lost chocolate drop.
The others they made it,
To destination cookie dough
But lying on the kitchen floor
The lost chocolate drop
Some friends were eaten
Straight away, packet to mouth
Just one fell on the floor
The lost chocolate drop
"Help!" it cried, with tears a flow
It did want to be left alone.
The days passed, things looked bleak
The lost chocolate drop
Was still lost in a crumbling corner
At the end of the week
But Sunday came for
The lost chocolate drop
The mother came cleaning up
The kitchen floor
And there he was still, crying away
The lost chocolate drop
Was vacuumed up, sucked away
Lost in a world of dirt and dust;
Atoms spinning, mould swimming.
The lost chocolate drop
Cried and cried, two minutes later
Thrown in the trash;
Melted by the summer sunshine -
The lost chocolate drop
Died.
