LOVE ME
She would give it all, but no one came to call
She was a beauty indeed, but with no love,
Her heart does bleed
Fine young men would pass her by
But she did not catch their eye,
She would look in the mirror
And could never see, her own beauty.
She was so beautiful no man dare ask for her hand
They would all pass her by, so beautiful, that was why.
From summer bride not to be she stepped in to autumn
And the golden leaf sea, her auburn hair now with a hint of grey
Love me love me she would prey.
A winter bride not to be, the land was dressed it a wedding gown
And the breeze would confetti from the trees
But this winter wedding was just Natures play
And she blew all the confetti away.
And now winters bride stooped and maddened
She would hiss at passers by
Love me love me she would cry
