Lover's Spell

Golden nostalgia treasured, in a crumbling bouquet
First chapter, my love, his destiny plucked
Blood satin ribbon I'd cut in cynic care
Curiousity murmured with cellophane peeled
Wings of aroma fluttered, my senses released
Myriad yearnings intoxified, drenched
Awakened innocence, and respect of Spring's flattery
Its' thorns at peace beneath cushioned fern
While emerald dream leaves beckoned like honest palms
To seduce a touch of its' deep velvet folds
I gathered and lowered it all in fragile crystal welcome
Tepid water I fed, quenching its' thirst
Such life, I pondered, as it dried to burnt paper
Inhaling the magic pollen dust of a lover's spell.
