MY LAST BEAUTIFUL BREATH
Death is a certainty,
It will be a certain time and place.
Our final suck of air,
In a release of endless grace.
Our soul is like the universe,
A vast blackness we will share.
Maybe we will have no pain,
Just slip away without a care.
I feel warmth of release,
The end of earthly breath.
I have grown old with my kids around me,
And now I rest in death.
