Nicked car karma

I am going to take you back to Winter 1993, It was cold, wet, and
bleak. In those days I was a real Low-Life, high on Cannabis most of
the time I was someone with little regard for myself or others..I had
been out to see a couple of people I knew- trying in vain to score some
weed to smoke..I was CLUCKING ( a term for cannabis craving) standing
at a Bus-stop somewhere in Walthamstow, London, home to the dog track
and a shite pop group. as I stood there freezing my cahoonas off, I
noticed a bloke at the cashpoint across the road. Well, his motor was
there, keys in the ignition, engine running, as he bleeped away,
totally unaware of my Radar like eyes beaming and locking in on his
dirty mashed up, but welcoming Austin Metro!! well, the "shall I, shant
I" scenario whirled around in my head for around 3 seconds, before I
was creeping across the street, carefully keeping his position in my
gaze as I ever so quietly opened the door, slinked in to the drivers
seat, and Roared off!! well, as I looked in the mirror, I could see him
give chase, swearing, screaming, jumping up and down like a right
nonce!! It was Bliss.. the Heater was blasting away, capital gold on
the Radio, I swear to you "keep on Running" by the Spencer Davis Group
was on as I passed Blackhorse Road Station!! I thought "Yeah Mate, you
keep f**king running, you aint catching me!! I had that car for about
an hour, managed to locate some puff, and when I was done, took the car
to a supermarket car park, just yards from my grotty flat..I was home!!
I went to nearest call box, called the police, told them I had stolen a
car, gave the Reg no, location, and even hid the keys under the
passenger seat!! well that copper even thanked me..there was no damage
to the motor, and the guy probably had it back soon after. I hope it
taught him a lesson..a few years later, i had straightened myself out,
had a good job etc. and My dad bought me a new car for my birthday..an
MG METRO...well that car got stolen from outside my house, and unlike
me-the kind thief, the bastards stripped it, and left it on some estate
totally written off and destroyed..If it had have been any other car
other than a METRO, I would have put it down to bad luck, but Karma has
a funny way of creeping across the street to get you..just like I did
to that blokes car....
