Not a rose-12/11/02

Among millions of others you picked me
OK so I'm not a rose, I'm only some flower
There is pure disappointment on your face I can see
But you can't take&; use me&; throw out in an hour
I don't care if you're looking for a rose
Sorry I'm not-but not everyone has to like them
Don't want me? Fine, leave me alone; it's your loss
I'll get over you for strong and stable is my stem
I'd rather be alone than unhappy with you
I'll wait ages to rejoice for a while
"All things come to those who wait"-I find it so true
So I'll just be patient &; one day I will smile
And it's time I stopped complaining
About not being perfect and ideal
And I'll go through this; I'll keep on waiting
Yet there must be someone who'll love me for being real
I'd been so lucky before I had you
I'd been the prettiest flower in his eyes
But too heavy was that love so true
And I've forsaken it, felling for those evil lies
I'd rather be alone than unhappy with you
I'll wait ages to rejoice for a while
"All things come to those who wait"-I find it so true
So I'll just be patient &; one day I will smile
