the heron
like a heron
you come
on tiptoe
you ask me to see you
to let go...
your flap your wings and then you close them in
that I may see how much emotion they take in,
under your feathers courage as well as tenderness
a miracle of balance, of sheer shamelessness,
your one leg exibition is already on...
but fly away with me, you say,
come on!
the entire world I hold with one foot only
but fly away with me, you say,
or I'll feel lonely
