What is the point?
Why do we bother?
We commit our all
Into someone who
Says "I love you";
Nothing could be better.
But then it changes.
Or at least they realise
That what they thought
Was love, was mere
Infatuation.
But by this time
It is too late.
Your heart has swelled
With love, and you have
Committed your all
Into someone who
Once said "I love you".
The uttered words,
"I don't love you
Anymore"
Rip open the seems,
Leaving an empty casket.
Not even the careful needlework
Of time will fix it.
