Trembling and tentative
On a perfect Irish night
In Donegal.
A starry sky
And the one
(I think)
I love.
Fumbling with each other in the dark
Struggling for that perfect
Romantic Moment
Yet the pawing and clumsy kisses
Are not what the moment deserves.
Finally, stretching on a long rock
Soft if you are still
In the perfect silence
Broken only now and then
By the soft bleat of sheep
And the sound of our breath
As we match
Our chests rising and falling
In perfect synchrony
Staring at the universe
Wide and true
It's in this moment
We are intimate
Not touching...but melting
Into each other
Our perfect romance
