In praise of Atheism

If you believe you have the right to pray
To your God in the manner of your choice;
But you believe yours is the only way
And other Gods speak not with a true voice;
If you believe as many others do,
That foreign faiths are basically flawed,
Then be you Christian, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu,
Or any cult or creed that's fiercely warred
'Gainst them whose faith is other than their own,
Think twice before you kneel in earnest prayer,
Be you in Church, Shrine, Temple or alone,
That, if about humanity you care,
'Twere better p'raps that all religion cease,
For thus the world may then find lasting peace.
