Quit Pretending

I feel no pain and I have no conscience,
My heart is as hard as a rock.
If they say honesty is the key to the world,
the key in my hand breaks in the lock.
I have no sympathy and I stop at nothing,
I'll say exactly what's on my mind.
If they say honesty is the eye of everything,
Then I'm sorry to tell you that that eye is blind.
I am invincible and my soul is indesrtuctable,
You'll never get through to my heart.
If honesty is a metallic pure white balloon,
then I may as well pierce it with a dart.
I'll get what I want and you can't get in my way,
In my world, my opinion's the only one.
If honesty is the destination at the end of a journey,
Then I've got a hell of a long way to run.
I hope you can see just what I'm trying to tell you,
My whole life is based on lies.
When you reject me even though I seem untouched,
On the inside, I'm the one who cries.
I use my icy-cool exterior as a brilliant disguise,
I bet you'd never guess I was a fake.
Even though it may seem that I don't give a damn,
On the inside, my heart is ready to break.
I hide myself away behind my self-opinionated glares,
I turn the hurt into power against you.
I know you don't believe that I have any emotion at all,
But for once I'm not lying, what I'm feeling now is true...
