Renaissance
I'm reminded of my first home, the womb,
Pushing thorough the cloying liquid
Feeling safe,
Cushioned
Swimming thorough problems,
Distancing myself,
Yet taking them with me
To the solution
I am also escaping
Even in my overlap
Backwards and forwards
Simple repetition
Yet it feels so good
A whistle blows,
I leave my haven
And enter the air
A harsh transition
Naked
So conscious of my body
I step into the artificial rain
To smooth the hair from my eyes
To clothe my taught nipples
That I was trying to hide.
Then its back to reality,
Stripped of the wombs safeguard.
