Starry Eyed- Chapter 1

There I sit alone, cold, deathly weak and thin. Those words don't even begin to describe me. It has been 3 months since I left my family behind. I left my favorite place, home, to live alone, homeless. My father abused me. Tortured me. i hate him. My mother was always working so she had no clue what he had done to me. My mother thought of me as the perfect angel child but my dad thought i was a lonely, hideous mistake. I left my home and my mother didn't have a choice, you could tell by the anger and rage in his eyes that my dad wanted me dead, or at least gone. At one point, i just vanished. I couldn't take it anymore, i had to leave. I stuffed as much of what i had into my bags and walked out the front door.
I shuffled my feet down the street until i reach a dark,abandoned alleyway. I set down my things inside a trash can, leaving out only a jacket to shield me from the winter's cold. I slouch down against the brick wall and allow my shimmering sky blue eyes to close. Thousands of different thoughts flood my mind. Should I go home? And be abused by my father? No. What would my mother think? I don't care. I somehow fall asleep, shivering from the cold, but i don't mind.
I imagine my mother, talking, but i cant understand her. She looks straight into my starry blue eyes and speaks, but this time, i understand her. She is trying to tell me something. I hear the words. The words that will change my life forever. She whispers in my ear, "Your eyes.." She stumbles. Her eyes light up as she notices something. "change according to your mood....like mine...they are not normal. They mean something," she mutters to me. She looks worn out. Defeated. Hurt. Oh no. I know what happened. My father must have hurt her too. You can tell by the red in her cheeks, my dad slapped her. By the bruises all over her arms, he punched her. I cant make my eyes search her anymore. Her hand lays on my shoulder "but you have to figure that out, i must go now" she says and at that moment she disappears, around the corner of the alley and probably gone forever. ****
