Alone, deep inside myself,
A familiar
stranger resides.
She moved in a year
since,
Took my name,
Proclaimed it
as her own.
Talked with my
tongue,
A voice that was not
mine.
Soaked my soul in her
essence
Until it was no more.
I
have long since given up
The fight and left my
home
As she ordered,
Leaving behind
the merest
Hint of a memory
That I
ever lived there at all.
Now my best days are acted
out
In someone else's
mind...
Inside my life the shadows
flicker,
She's laughing at me
For
she knows she's almost won.
