Tears - Look to the future

Tears

An emotional rain falling
From clouded eyes.
A sympathetic , synthetic sleeve
Stubbornly stems the salty flow
Forcefully raking across a
Reddening facial beach
Trying to hide the tidal residue.

Concern is blatant
Denial consistant.
"No, really I'm fine.
I've just got something in my eye"

"Well you know where we are
If you want anything"

Tears are an acceptance of
an event already past.
Family and friends cannot
Be brought back to life.
Look to the future.
