Time passes like a flight of birds.
So often we forget to look to the sky
and see them in our world.
They pause, no more than a beat of wings.
A kingfisher darts over water,
a trail of blue across our eyes,
then it is gone. But what remains is the sense of light,
the rush of air,
the sparkle of wings and the joy of flight.
