T - Stand Tall

To find the strength
To face the world alone,
In a world
Where only the weak are forgiving,
And the strong are too weak to forgive;
Where mercy is blasphemous,
And compassion
Too hard to give.

To be an individual
Without being judged,
In a society
Where ideals and values are nothing,
And the individual shunned by all
Unless accepted by the majority
As being the same,
Or reduced to nothing at all.

To fight for freedom
For the life you live,
In a place
So restricting by unwritten codes;
Take heart
Stand by what you believe,
Make something from nothing
And find the will
To truly succeed.
