Contradiction

I was laughing so hard I couldn't help but cry,

I felt so alive I thought I could die,

Of course I love you but you're not the right guy,

I'm speaking about our past but I'm in the future tense,

I know what I want but I'm sitting on the fence,

Lately things just don't seem to make sense,

I want you back even though you were the one I never had,

You drive me insane but you're never able to make me mad,

Why must I think of you if you always make me sad,

Change, change and change again,

Will my heart be able to mend?

This is the finish line but is there ever an end?
