The drone of the drones' empty cries of despair
rapid shot, swirling, with cattle like glare
and you stare and you stare at the wagons and bees
and they smile as they sting you,
an alien's fees
Lights change
"So you think you've changed, do you?" the caterpillar asks Alice
honey congeals in a putrefied pot.
The hivebound smile in their certainty as regimented B's wade
deeper
through unsheltering, sweltering smog
Take it all in now
Exhale
Inhale
P e r s p i r e
Expire
Until the petrified lives again
Lights change!
A heartbreak away, commodity wakes,
Expiry date passed, a life on the brakes
The breakers will break you
In chains, though, you fight
Here nothing changes with change of the light.
No longer the dominant wasp
Drone, drone.
