Wanderer on a cliff
I first saw the young spring of my days,
Full of love and light a glorious haze.
A time when life was carefree and gay,
happy was I but I did not stay.
I left home to try and find my fate,
not knowing I'd end in a direr state.
I danced on the roads and lived life in song,
this summer flew by, yet lasted so long.
And I was foolish to think it would last,
A dark storm of ice winds would soon blast.
Autumn marked my fall into fear,
I now ran my road I had no one dear.
lost with out love to warm the dark chill,
upon a cliff I stood silent and still.
"The next words I speak will be my love's name"
I searched my mind yet no answer came.
I wandered two years with not a word spoken,
My heart has now gone far beyond broken.
Winter has come and I'm frozen with sorrow,
This journey I know will seen no tomorrow.
I tread to the top of a cliff I know well,
I face the edge, my loves name I tell
One word creeps from my unkissed lips "none"
I walk to the edge my eyes closed, it is done
