Radio Blue

"Hello people,this is Radio Blue,only hits all day. I am starting Basic Blue,your very own show.I am RJ MissMe.Did you miss me? As these words came out of the radio Ian was all ears.It was one pm.He had just returned from college.And the first thing he did after coming back everyday was to listen to Basic Blue,his favorite show on his favorite FM channel Radio Blue.What goes without saying is that his favorite Radio Jockey was MissMe.He had no idea about how this lady looked or say her dress sense.But he was an absolute devotee of her singsong voice that had this lilt in it.What impressed him even more was her great sense of humour.She came up with punchline after punchline delievered with the right mix of sternness and sarcasm.He would often tell his friends that he had fallen in love with RJ MissMe.But they discouraged him by reminding that he had neither seen or spoken to this fine lady whose voice was quite the craze.In all the colleges of Calcutta they had RJ MissMe fan clubs.Her birthday which was known to all was celebrated with pomp and gaiety.It was rumoured that RJ MissMe attended these celebrations,albeit incognito.
Basic Blue ran a competition every Wednesday.RJ MissMe posed a very simple question which the listeners were expected to answer.By calling in obviously.This Wednesday the question posed by MissMe got Ian very excited.At exactly one fifteen MissMe addressed her listeners, "Now people here is this week's question.If you want to take me,that's RJ MissMe, for a date where will you go? SMS your answers NOW.The winner gets to speak live with me on Basic Blue next Wednesday. Ian was thrilled.He wanted to know how RJ MissMe looked.He surely wanted to know her,know her better.So he grabbed this opportunity with both hands.He picked up his phone and typed in "Fun Republic.Zoom went his SMS in a flash.
Ian won the competition.Or so he was informed by Radio Blue.He rode his bike to Radio Blue's office the next Wednesday at twelve pm.He was asked to wait in the reeption area.Meeting RJ MissMe was the experience of a lifetime.She was echantingly pretty with a magnificent sartorial style.When she spoke it seemed that music was made.She had captivating blue eyes that were expressive and eloquent.Ian was however shocked and disappointed when he realised that he had been actually called for auditioning.There were five other people who had been chosen for the audition process.Ian actually knew one of the boys who was from his college,St Xaviers.
