To see you cry

I've seen you cry with humour,
so much laughter in the drops
that jewelled your face,
infectious to the point of no return,
all of us overtaken
by your helpless damp-eyed joy.
I've seen you cry with grief,
the tears just left to gravity,
to roll and roll;
the furrows in your face
canals to things now past
that even crying can't reclaim.
I want to see you cry again,
from laughing.
