So deep, but so shallow
Confident, but shy
I’m an honest liar
Feminist in love
Love chocolate and family
Sometimes like to preach
I believe in God Almighty
And freedom of speech
When I watch the news
I can’t help but cry
Strangers in the global village
Ruled by money, sex and gun
Tell me you can’t see it
Tell me you’re not scared
Books belong to underground
As far as I’m concerned
There’s much to be said
Writing is my way
Poems are my babes
Be heard is my aim
Poetry’s in my blood
She has chosen me
Even if I wanted
She won’t let me leave
I write when I’m happy
And write when I’m down
I write about issues
And write about love
Fear is not my style
It can never be
I am to decide
My own destiny.
