I was in nowhere forever
with hate by my side
she had slipped into bed
back to back a frozen space in between

Perhaps it was a misunderstanding
Perhaps I should learn to forgive
Perhaps my assumptions were wrong
Perhaps I had been thinking too much

If we could talk it would work
But talking the truth
the real confusion we felt
