Paralysed by toxic irony
Tied down by roots of disbelief
Tears run wild in sympathy
His heart drops at her sigh of relief

This space was once full of light
The sound of laughter and delight
But in its place, lays naked and broken
A man who ignored warnings spoken

Like snowflakes, the dust settles on the floor
Consumed by darkness, no one lives here anymore
