I’ve finally found the bluebird,
Sitting, perched up on a tree.
I can see him from my window,
Looking, smiling back at me.
I’ve heard bluebirds bring you happiness,
From my experience, I’d say it’s true.
A seemingly endless amount of time,
I’ve searched for the bird called Blue.
The day he went away,
The clouds grew dark and skies were gray.
My heart fell into shambles.
For his return, at night, I pray.
But today the skies have lifted,
And on the tree bark the bluebird taps.
Safe inside with hot, creamed coffee,
and sleepy cats taking their naps.
I’ve finally found my bluebird,
Sitting, perched up on a tree.
I can see him from my window,
Looking, smiling back at me.
