THE CHILDREN OF DUNBLANE
I feel their loss
Though they feel it so much more
I feel their pain
As I've never felt before
I watched as they ran
To the school, as tears filled my eye
How could he, WHY?
Did sixteen children die.
Their little bodies scattered round
Their life's blood flown away
Silence for not a sound
Was heard, no children's play
The only sound, a name called out
As a parent cried in pain
And the world cried, without a doubt
For the children of Dunblane.
My heart breaks when I see them
In their teachers loving care
Yet know that, now forever
That love is with them there
Now I find it hard to read the news
And the tele is the same
For the tears fall, when I see
The children of Dunblane.
