ASCOT STUD FARM
T'was a morning in the spring
I wandered through the stud
The rhododendrons wall to wall
Up in the trees, sweet birds call
And the sun it shone above it all
As a hush came o'er the wood .
T'was an afternoon such as this
In summer time I strolled
As squirrels darted in and out
Rabbits ran and hopped about
And in the distance children shout
Oh if this moment I could hold .
T'was an evening in the fall
As by the stud I walked
The leafs, they fell down from the trees
Through the woods the scented breeze
And in the distance, wood fires blaze
And Holly, the shadows stalked .
T'was on a day, deep winter time
As through the stud I go
The trees are bare, all leafs are gone
The meadows wear, a white mantle on
And in the distance ,a carol song
While lightly falls the snow
T'was the year now, that it's gone
My wanderings now I love
With rabbits, squirrels flitting by
Trees reach up and touch the sky
Holly walks each day with I
And birds fly high above .
