A I NEED MY LOVE

I NEED MY LOVE
Where go the ships that sail the sea
To steal my true love, away from me
Leaving me here, alone to cry
My heart in pieces, will surely die.
He say's, he sails the Spanish Main
And he will to me, return again
With riches, beyond my wildest thought
He held those riches, when my heart he caught.
For it's him I love, I need him here
To hold me close, to dry my tear
The riches I need, his love, a home
Not for him, the seas to roam.
The riches I hold, his seed inside
I fear the future with every tide
As I watch the horizon his ship to see
Homeward bound, my love to me.
Ten summers have past, his son and I
Still watch the sea, the furthest sky
And hope one day, with the help of God above
A ship sails in, delivering the one we love.
