HYPOCRITES ALL

The village so silent
Nowhere a sound
Friends and family gasp for breath
Are dying all around
Children lying where they played
Horror in their eyes
Cats and dogs lie motionless
Birds fall from the skies.

God! What has he done?
Bring death to this peaceful place
Generations of the Kurds
Gone, without a trace
Saddams, weapons of mass destruction
Our blood and sweat, paid the bill
Though our finger's not on the trigger
We were there at the kill.

Did you shout or walk the street
Protest in Parliament Square
Carry the banner on constitution hill
Your solidarity to declare
Did you tangle with the police?
Your disgust to show
Oh you hypocrites all
