Sea Crossing

A model sailing ship
Cradled inside a plastic carrier bag
(flying the flag of some convenience store)
Sails briskly across a buoyant High Street
Bobbing back and forth in time with footsteps,
Then navigates revolving doors and rapid stairways
Until finally, beached upon a desk, voyage ends.
