Cameo Star
I thirst for the second, when the dim whisper of a ring,
Will awaken my being, and depress that of a castaway.
The unbelievable wonder of existence, has been withheld,
And I yearn for the day, when the merry-go-round of life
Will recapture this banish soul.
Living is not an act to me, yet a play, that I observe
constantly,
And day after day, yearn to be a performer in.
Once in a blue moon, on those rainy days of the spirits,
I'm invited to appear in the act, yet as a vanishing apportion.
Ooooh, I do devour these brief moments, of deep performance,
Portraying that which is a simple man, in realities hand.
I fathom that is why, I thirst for the second,
When the dim whisper of a ring, will awaken my being,
And depress that of a castaway. . . .
