The Death of Laa Laa

Beneath skies of no sun
I peer through railings black
Where green eyes rest upon
Little shape, lying forgotten,
Forlorn, sodden upon ledge.
Once bright, so adoringly loved
Now tossed from window above,
Curled, little arms tucked in pain
Sheilding from heavens bleak rain.
Tubbytronic Superdome died
In landscape of rolling hills,
Splashed with baby radiant sun,
Talkative flowers sigh in sorrow,
Once upon a time,
Now scattered, done.
Laa Laa cheered bibberly cheese!
Now dies defiled, yellow softness
Soiled, grey and bedraggled……
No child’s bed tonight will
Dear Laa Laa find to hide.
I muse standing there
Seems Laa Laa and I
Are both without someone
To love
I inside forever tainted
Like Laa Laa's outside.
Grubby, stained and old.
Something in me died
When I was discarded, denied.
Head down, must not cry
I allow myself to walk on
Leaving dear Laa Laa behind.
