Some People

I try to begin
I try to see
What I have done
What's wrong with me
But there's just a fog
No clear horizon
No goals to achieve
When time stands frozen

There once was a clearing
When the sun did shine through
Was it just me?
Or was it just you?
We all are alone
Whether we like it or not
But what must be said
Is we're all we've got

We can hurt and we can kill
We can hate and we can fight
Some people are so mixed up
They don't know wrong from right
Life's what we make it
Sometimes not fair
You cannot blame one
For alone it is rare.

So do we forgive them?
And make our amends
Do they want to be forgiven?
We'll that depends
For some are truly sick
While some just like power
They feel a great strength
When they see victims cower.

The world is mixed up
And will continue to be
Until all the blind people
Open their eyes
And see.
