Where is the passion?
I stood, watched, smiled,
But I was left
With my thoughts.
Each one, visible only to me,
Drifting and spinning,
Landing beside your feet.
Still smiling.
You're not even noticing.
I saw right thru you,
I know your type,
Like a story I'm bored of reading,
Maybe this one ends differently?
Sat, glanced, admired
But I was left.
You passed. You stared.
They are pretty feet!
Hardly a horseshoe.
And still you smiled.
Are those not your desire?
Varnished, shimmering, shining,
A perfect bargain. You hoped
But not even close. Pin pricks.
Kinda near enough to sense
Feeling our eyes power, touch.
But still...
Another longing look.
Was that for me?
It holds my attention.
Then, within a minute,
Not a million miles -
Looking, gasping, sighing,
You bit your lip.
Your eyes drop'n'fall open.
Shall we? Shant we?
Wasting more time,
Throwing it to the night sky.
Can't you see my eyes?
The answer is there, somewhere-or-other.
The lights, the drinks, the smiles.
Too blue, not too true.
Fruitless and hungry
Things move to the epicentre.
It's nearly the end of the night,
We're surrounded by others,
Some wanting to fight gravity,
Others drowned in the sounds.
So, pretend not to see me,
Avoid each'n'every glance. Both ways.
Not risking a single chance.
And still I was left.
Icey, freezed, unseen.
Did you even notice me?
I think, I beleive, um, maybe.
I'll sit here in the the shadows
Shivering silently,
Observing, classifying, listing and regretting.
Next time, probably...
Only now the day is dawning,
Or is a new night beginning?
The sun just half sits
This sensation isn't easy
Either way, twilight is in the hour,
I hope it's not too blue,
I don't want that science feeling
Chemically nor imbalanced
Toxin-free, healthy,
But still left. Find me. Help me!
