The Girl With the Yellow Hair

She is a young woman
On a white horse
She is no circus princess
Oh no
She is too real for that
She still only has a vague feeling of where she is
She is surrounded by leafy green
Close to her there is light
So that her blond hair looks yellow
And the white horse whiter than white
She is very beautiful
In that enlightened glade in the middle of the forest
But her face?
Her face is not visible
She is faceless, but if she touch
Her nose is smaller, a bit angular
She can widen and wobble her nose wings
The horse is happy
It is also very beautiful
Every now and then it stamps with one of its hind hoofs
As to kill a fly
But there aren't any flies in Paradise
Is she in Paradise? She doesn't know
Now she is waiting for Einar and she slides down from the back of the
horse
Her bare feet lands in the soft grass
Suddenly she is wearing a white wide-brimmed hat
Gauze hides her faceless face
When Einar comes he is going to lift the gauze
And kiss her mouth
He will feel cheated
When he sees she doesn't have a mouth
When Einar comes she must make him enjoy her hair
Her beautiful dress
Her fine horse
She will let him ride her fine horse
Then they ride off together
From the glade
To another glade
She sits in front of him
Einar holds on to her waist, so he doesn't fall of
He is not as a good rider as she is
Branches creak and crack under the horse hoofs
Sometimes the horse takes a bite from something green
Sometimes it neighs
When they find the next glade
It is not at all like the last glade
This glade is smaller and darker
A dull and damp glade
Where she really doesn't want to stay
Let's not stay, she asks Einar
But he does not hesitate
This is the glade we've been looking for
This is where we are going to stay
In this glade we will become our true selves
Einar lifts the gauze from her face
And is chocked when he sees her faceless face
You are ugly, he says, and moves away from her
She lowers her eyes, do not dear to look at him
And then she starts widen and wobble her nose wings
Look, she says, pointing at her nose
Einar sees but doesn't say anything
He stands still, petrified for quite a while
That is good, you can stop now, he says
She stops widen and wobble
Reach out her hand towards Einar
Einar takes her hand and does not hesitate to follow
She leads him to the beautiful white horse
He will sit in the front now
When they ride off
Towards yet another glade
It's become night now and dark now
The horse leads them forward
It knows where they are going
They only have to ride along
Einar has kept quiet since the incident with the face
It is like
Something has come between them
And still not, since Einar never would reveal that he
Loved her less for such a thing
But she is afraid
That he in this very moment asks himself
For what reason he loves her
It is diferent for her
She loves Einar because he is
The only man
Intended for her
And she hopes
That he will not get off at the next glade
Like the last Einar did
Where did you loose you face, Einar asks
Or did somebody take it from you?
She is embarrased by his openness
And sets the horse into trotting
Einar looses the balance
And falls to the ground
He lies down and cries
Holds his hands in front of his face
Why are you crying, she asks
And places her hand lightly on his shoulder
It never occures to her
That he perhaps hurt himself in the fall
I cry because you
Lost your face
You were worth a better destiny
To her surprise she doesn't get angry
But disappointed
The incident really hit Einar
And she knows he will leave her
