In the eyes of a father as he infects his son with insects
In the heart of a young girl who drowns herself in pills as she stares into a mirror
In the soul of a hero as he sends his strangers to heaven.

As 46 splits into 47, and then fell
As he passed his power into the metal casing that gave him another angel, and another disciple
As he laid his head down for one last time, Cradled by a pair of dark sunglasses,
I have seen God.

I’ve seen God

While bodies rained down from heaven, only to go back up
While the souls of misfortune burned to make this world white
While every infant and star sacrifice their beauty and waistline just to be gorgeous

I’ve seen God

As I came down from my Cross, naked and starving
Only to be killed.
