The eyes of a dog
who is beaten by his master
over and over again
while coming back for more love
forgiven, and forgotten daily.

God's number is irrelevant
So long as his name is blessed onto it
If you want to get into Heaven
kiss your gun, so
your child's funeral is justified.

Your black and blue permanent tattoo
the sex hides the pain
and becomes the solution

As he tests his unconditional love
by feeding you to the worms
and then raising you up.

But, if you just follow his footprints in the sand
as they lead you through glass and throns
needles and fire
He'll love you forever.

Question his motives and you'll fall.
