The love that flew away

I walk I to the night,
and watch as you fly
out like a bird, out of my sight
as you run and run, yet still I try
To capture you and keep you mine
I try to hold you by the wings
as you struggle and whine
for personal space and your won things
The day we first met and we held each others arms
As dawn broke and our cliche prolonged
I stopped trying to resist your charms
But now I awake, tear stain'd
and think of the time me and you reigned.
