Woke up this morning, the sky was blue.
Maybe my debt of
solitude is no longer due.
The skies were clearer, the fall
air fresher.
Today my hurt heart wasn't under pressure.
I actually smiled without being begged,
happiness
came when I didn't have it pegged.
The shimmering water across
the pond
broke between heart and soul a lonely bond.
Chirrping birds chirrped songs of hope,
freed from
my neck were years of rope.
Life took a new turn this
morning,
everything new with nothing boring.
Sometimes the sun shines down just right
to erase the cold
sadness of the night.
