Angel of hearts

My heart pounded as she stared deep into my soul,
For never has an angel looked so intoxicating as she,
She lent within my grasp and touched my cheek tenderly and softly
whispering love sonnets into my ear.
I tried in vain to turn away and forget this jasmine, but her power to
entice was of twenty strong men who battle for their liege.
My guards failed and with them my heart,
I bade her leave but she would not let her eyes release me soul. Slowly
she came, nearer to my lips, nearer to my essence.
In which seemed years she kissed my heart and this did not end.
My gasps were short, but her energy was sustenance of an infinity of
roses lying by my side,
Lowering she stowed me away again for the winter,
She left the door open again to torment me wooden empathy,
Again I died hoping to revive again I died thinking of you, again die,
again&;#8230;.. Again, pick me up, and burn me.
