Mummy's boy ..

Don't go in yet, cos he's not ready.
Got to settle him down with a kiss and a teddy.
Such a gorgeous little chap
with his toys an' that.

But ..

Where's the daddy, l hear you say? He didn't hang around after our divorce day.
Got much better interesting things to do
than take this little one to the zoo.
Well now, that's what they planned on the phone last week,
blowing love down the line, but his touches don't reach.

Wish my bitterness and anger would come to an end.
A thought has occurred, could we at least be friends.
For the sake of the boy in the middle of this mess.

I'm l strong enough to do the job of helping him grow?
