Euphoria! Amazement!
where some of the expresions painted in the crowd's faces while remaining static as if they were hypnotized by the silence of the dark auditorium, only the sound of the orchestra and the chorus remained. A beautiful young lady remains as slept while levitating over the stage, when suddenly she starts falling, followed by an "Ohh!" the crowd panics, but the girl stops a few inches before hitting the floor. The crowd breathes and claps with relief, the music changes and a young man appears between the curtains of fog that start to fill the stage, he extends both arms like if holding someone's hand, when small particles of fog start gathering in both sides of the stage to take human shapes before materializing in two beautiful girls that walk toward him, he takes their hand... waits a second; greets and walks away with the two girls disappearing between the fog.
"Well done..." whispers a young lady in the backstage.
"As always" replies the platinum-blonde magician. His cyan eyes are filled with ecstasy, the claps start to rise at the other side of curtain. The magician walks toward a stretch corridor, with every step he gives, the crowd's noise gradually fades, until the only sound remaining is the man's hard breathing.
"You can't live without this, can't you?" a voice emerged from the shadows.
"...Can you ?" answered the magician.
There was no reply, finally the voice showed itself, it was a pale but extremely beautiful teen lady wearing a fancy stylish black dress. The girl hold an ancient goblet with a blood-red liquid poured on it, the magician toke it away and drank all of it, the old-looking wrinkled skin from his left hand started to get firm and strong until it finally matched with the Mage's fresh and young look.
"Every time I drink this, I remember the centuries I've spent alone in this world but -" was interrupted the magician "but you...can't stop because you're..addicted." finished the girl, staring deep into the magician's eyes, he gently kissed her lips barely touching them.
"The Philosopher's Stone can be a Blessing or a Curse...and...You cursed me Eva"
"do you like it?" silently whispered the young lady.
"You - we shouldn't be here, we have to be in time for the closure" stuttered the young magician. He took her hand gently and both walked away toward the dressing rooms.

Hardly walking between the the crowded streets of Paris, Basant and Barindra headed toward the "rue de Richelieu". This time they totally blended with the Parisians. Without their fancy sherwanies or turbans, Basant wore a classic white tie with black tailcoat, and Barindra had a roast waistcoat over a cream shirt with beige pants and a pink tie.
"Why don't we stop for a snack? The trip from Dijon was exhausting" complained Barindra.
"Were are heading to a party, I'm sure you want to get there with your stomach empty." replied Basant.
"Sure I do!" cried Barindra with a smile on his face.
Basant returned the smile to his brother but since that day in the Wyvern Hall Manor, his idea of Barindra totally changed and in some way he started to fear him.
"Come and see the world's greatest magician, the majestic Lyon'Guoy!" shouted a man standing in front of the entrance to the Comédie-Française.
"Look - a Magic show! I have never been in one, lets go please!" shouted Barindra filled in excitement.
"Damn! You're a Bearer...there is nothing more magic than that" complained Basant.
"aw...don't be a party-crusher!" answered Barindra. Without asking, he took his brother's forearm and ran toward the Comédie-Française.
"Take your hands off me!" cried Basant.
"No until we enter the Show!" replied the twin while running.
"There is no time.. we have to get to the party in time!" shouted Basant.
They were almost in the entrance when the door guard stopped them. "You've to buy your ticket." shouted with his strong voice.
"You don't know who you're talking to, We're the Devan Brothers, we don't pay for anything!" answered Barindra. "shut up!" shout Basant to his brother while kicking his knee."Don't worry good sir, he doesn't knows what he is saying." said Basant trying to make him forget his brother's fool words.
"Forgive me... I didn't knew who you were, please go on, or you'll be late for the closure party" humbly replied the guard. With a expression of surprise, the twins looked each other. "I guess here is were we will meet That Guy's friend" said Barindra to his twin. "And I think you're right!" answered Basant.
The twins entered to the Comédie-Française in search of the Alchemist with the ability to break the forgiven spell.
