Plot of the Lizard
There's an odd movement on the wall and then an abrupt silence. Minute
diaphanous wings circle the tube-light singing epiphany. The stiletto
eye is reading the silence called- the Poem. With classical precision,
there's lunge forward. The overpowering is epic. The remains are
exhausted. There's brief pause. The staring is lifeless, the reflection
of the desired. Possession is soft as the stone having hardly any
lineaments of malice.
Then a squeak ricochets the coherence of the creatures' language. A
story is repeated: an entire library called the folk-tale is contained
in an aphorism: "the lizard squeaks the truth".
All the rest is silence! A still object is lifeless after the Scream!
The eye and the stiletto coordinate the looking and then vanish! ~
